Chill Touch Spell


Mana Cost : 25                Target    : self
Save      : None
Effect    : With a hand like ice, strike down your enemies.

With little investment in the hidden realms, a beginner may start down the
road of the forces of heat and cold.  This spell gives the caster a chilling
grasp, which can be used in combat.

NOTE: You will be unable to take full advantage of this spell if your dominant
hand is wielding a weapon -- for it does not effect your secondary hand.  But,
one may use Chill Touch with Lich Touch for added effect.

Create Water Spell

Mana Cost : 10                Target    : Drink container
Save      : none
Effect    : Making water out of thin air to quench that nasty thirst.

Expect disastrous results if cast upon a drink container which contains
another liquid than water. Empty water containers will be filled depending
on the level of the caster.

If it is raining (or worse), you can expect double the amount of water.

Cure Critical Wounds Spell


Mana Cost : 35                Target    : victim
Save      : None
Effect    : More effective than Cure Serious but less than Heal

In the heat of combat it is far too often that a cleric is needed.  Grouping
with one of the pious can be very beneficial.  This spell cures 20 to 55 hitpoints of damage.

Curse Spell


Mana Cost : 25                Target    : victim or object
Save      : Versus Spell for no effect
Effect    : Make another less likely to hit and more likely to be paralyzed

From either school of magic, the intermediate spell caster can learn to throw
a curse on an enemy.  Curse will reduce the hitroll of the victim by one and
the saving throw versus paralyzation by one.

Invisibility Spell


Mana Cost : 25                Target    : victim or object
Save      : None
Effect    : Vanish with little trace and stay hidden

Self Explanatory.
Attacking while invisible will immediately break the spell.

Lightning Bolt Spell


Mana Cost : 35                Target    : Victim
Save      : Versus Spell for half damage
Effect    : Zap your enemy with the power of Zeus himself.

The wielder of this spell causes a powerful lighting bolt to strike down
his/her foes with electrical damage.  This spell does a fair amount of
damage.

Locate Object Spell


Mana Cost : 80                Target    : object
Save      : None
Effect    : "Now, where'd I leave my keys?"

If possible, locate object will tell you exactly where an object is, or the
name of the person using it. If more than one object by the same name exists,
you will get a listing of several objects. The maximum number of objects you
can simultaneously locate is your level divided by 2.

Magic Missile Spell


Mana Cost : 15                Target    : victim or object
Save      : Versus spell for half damage.
Effect    : Pummel your foe with little projectiles of magical essence

We all have to start somewhere.  And for the novice mage that wants to learn
the ways of the more deadlier spells, this is as good a place to start as any.
Magic Missile is the least powerful offensive spell.

Pray

   This command will send a request to all the immortals (if there
are any on) saying that you wish to speak with an immortal.

Steal Skill

Requires stealth.
Use steal to steal gold or items from people. The chance of not getting
caught depends on how well you have practiced steal, and if the person
is asleep. You cannot steal equipped items.

    Usage:

    steal gold <victim>
    steal potion <victim>

    Example:

    steal gold <?= %randPlayer() ?>
    steal potion <?= %randPlayer() ?>
