    Traditionally the Worlds of Carnage only supported the hating of one
    target at a time and this behaviour is reflected in the return value of
    this function if only one parameter is provided. If only one parameter is
    provided then a pointer to the first creature the hater hates is returned.
    If the second parameter is provided then a 1 is returned if the hater
    hates the hated, and 0 is returned otherwise. The hater and hated may be a
    character pointer or keyword.
