(Head) ... a good piece of head gear can prevent you from getting headbutted
(Neck) ... never wear just a single neck piece
(Neck)
(Chest)
(On the back)
(Waist)
(On the arms)
(Left wrist)
(Right wrist)
(Gloves) ... can interfere with bare handed or natural claw damage
(Left finger) ... never wear just a single ring
(Right finger)
(Pants) ... note: not used by Centaurs
(Boots) ... note: not used by Centaurs
(Wielded Weapon) ... Primary weapons should take into consideration skill proficiency.
(2nd Weapon, Shield or Held Item) ... you'll need the skill "dual wield" for a 2nd weapon. Some other skills, like "thrash", also utilize this 2nd weapon.

Generally speaking, you want to want to always have a full compliment of equipped gear.
