Having hit a few in my day (and yesterday, losing my group mate an imm prize! :( ) here is some advice.

When travelling in areas you are not totally familiar with, check your exits. Al you need to type is: ex.

If you see an exit that look ominous - sharp rocks, certain death and others - don't explore in that direction as you will hit a DT.

Blobbie was nice and downsized the penalty of a DT - it used to take ALL of your worn and carried gear. Now you lose 2 items that are worn and 2 that are in your inventory - but not fun nonetheless!

EDIT: Make that 2 DT's in 14 hours. Lost: 3/3 Black Watch, Virbius, Armbands, Stone Leg plates - and who knows what from INV.

I saw like 4 high levels dt in 2 days, seems like the new trend. So be safe and follow Grael's advise. Doesnt matter if you big or small you could hit one and lose something valuable.
