- Get gold from bank
- Type rebirth <password>
- "Your spirit has prepared for rebirth" appears (or similar text)
- Commit suicide by attacking uber mob with wimpy 0 (2 blood guards east of Elkin helpful)
- Exit game
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

- Logon and create new character (same name OK)
- Password, same one seems OK
- Select race (may be new)
- Select class (may be new)
- Select stats (not sure on effect, as I focused on similiar one's with alts)
- Select starting location
You are creating a new character, it is in no way related to your previous character. It is "rebirth" in every sense of the word. You are not restricted to name, password, class, race, anything.

- Now [R] appears on menu, use it instead of [1] Enter Game
- Type your old password
- [1] Enter Game
- Bingo... stats, HP and pracs set based on experience
- No skills carried forward
[R] Appears on main menu for all new characters that have not yet entered the game. You cannot roll stats for rebirth. Once you enter the game, the [R] will not show the next time.

Combat skills seem to take an age to level compared to newbie, perhaps it just seems quicker when you haven't got everything all at once (!). Spells seem to level pretty much the same. Only thing I've noticed is that HP's seemed to take a general hit on alts relative to previous HP when at the level you've now been dropped to (around 10%).
Newbies from levels 1 to 10 get a speed bonus on effective skill advancement. It's harder to teach old dogs new tricks though

Maybe starting stats but I think I used a similar mix as before, most probably just plain unlucky.... a couple of times.
As with any character build, if they dice don't roll so well, you can get a shitty character. On the flip side, if they roll exceptionally well... you can get an uber character. The long of the story though... most will comes close to the middle of the road
