Back to Character Creation

With advanced stat placement you are able to customize your characters statistics completely. This has a variety of perks. If you choose to select your characters primary attribute, secondary, third, etc, it guarentees placing creations points on statistics that essentially do not matter for your class.

Disclaimer   Keep in mind that this is the opinion of the writer. There is no "perfect" way to place statistics. I've tried and tested for years different combinations at multiple stages in the game and this is my opinion. The recommendations are not set in stone, they can be altered in any way shape or form based on what you feel is important to your character. My examples and recommendations are for a specific race, but the premise stays relatively constant among all races.

This is a list of each races natural base stats, as well as their max.

Race Str Int Wis Dex Con Chr
--------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- -------
Centaur 39 - 66 24 - 55 24 - 55 33 - 55 39 - 71 27 - 51
Demon 27 - 55 30 - 60 36 - 71 30 - 60 24 - 51 24 - 48
Dwarf 35 - 68 30 - 55 32 - 58 25 - 46 39 - 71 24 - 51
Elf 27 - 55 33 - 71 30 - 60 33 - 71 27 - 51 33 - 71
Faerie 20 - 42 36 - 71 36 - 71 36 - 71 20 - 42 40 - 71
Gnome 27 - 51 39 - 74 27 - 60 30 - 51 27 - 51 30 - 55
Goblin 30 - 55 24 - 51 24 - 51 42 - 78 24 - 55 24 - 45
Halfling 30 - 52 30 - 60 30 - 60 39 - 71 30 - 60 30 - 65
Human 34 - 64 33 - 60 33 - 60 33 - 60 33 - 60 33 - 60
Orc 33 - 71 27 - 51 30 - 51 30 - 55 36 - 65 24 - 45
Reptilian 33 - 69 27 - 55 30 - 55 33 - 60 33 - 60 24 - 51
Troll 39 - 71 21 - 48 21 - 48 24 - 51 39 - 71 21 - 39

When you choose to do advanced stat placement, you are allotted 60 points to place wherever you like. Remember that stats are rolled randomly regardless of where you put them, putting 20 points on strength on a Centaur does not ensure that you will start with 59 strength. You may start in the mid 50's, you may start in the 60's.

Dedicated Classes

Warrior

Your primary attributes for a warrior are strength and constitution. Dexterity plays a small role in your character so you would be wise to place a few points on dexterity as well.

Example: Troll warrior/warrior

26 strength points, 31 constitution points, 3 dexterity points.

Thief

Your primary attributes for a thief are strength, dexterity, and constitution. (Many thief skills are based on strength as a skilled thief is a deadly fighter)

Example: Goblin thief/thief

22 strength points, 20 dexterity points, 18 constitution points.

Cleric

Your primary attribute for a cleric is wisdom. Although the pious primarily rely on wisdom, intelligence also plays an important role in the life of a healer because it directly affects how much mana the player will have.

Example: Faerie cleric/cleric

35 wisdom points, 20 intelligence points, 5 constitution points

(Note: More constitution points is never a bad idea, but you will spend most of your time behind warriors so Hit Points are not a major concern... still never a bad idea in a sticky situation)

Mage

Your primary attribute for a mage is intelligence. There are a few spells that rely on wisdom as well, but a vast majority (and especially the ones that matter) only count on intelligence.

Example: Gnome mage/mage

38 intelligence points, 22 constitution points

Paladin and Black Knight

A Paladin and a Black Knight rely on the same attributes. You can look at a Black Knight as a Paladin gone evil. They both rely on Strength, Wisdom, and Constitution. (And very very little on dexterity, not enough to dwell on)

Example: Dwarf paladin/paladin or Dwarf blackknight/blackknight

24 strength points, 20 wisdom points, 16 constitution points
