Why is it that the maximum amount a shopkeeper will provide is 30,000 gold coins? Those damn rat bastards are cheap! Another point is why is the maximum xp from one mob set at 100,000 xp points?
Caps on selling items, and on exp are set b/c many builders set their objects and mobs to unreasonable levels in the past. Instead of going through each and every item sell/buy value, and every single mob to analyze what be an appropriate return, it was much easier to implement a cap.
The gold cap should perhaps be re-examined. It's silly that you sell an Amulet of Diartha for 30k and it sells for over 100k.
As for exp - Blobbie might have more insight, but it's my understanding that he changed how exp gains work, so, depending on how tough the mob is, the player is rewarded appropriately. I'd suggest the cap might need examination. If 5 players kill Balzic and essentially split 100k exp - doesn't seem quite right. However, I see value in a cap in that what a mage w/ charms can kill (for a big big exp gain), a dedicated Shaman may not even be able to scratch...
