So, basically, here is the deal. I log in, walk around, do "quit" and then, when I log back in, I'm on the beginning again. Since WoC doesn't have a rent system anymore, as the help pages say, I suppose it's of no point to rent something. If I just disconnect, then my location is stored - but it's not quite right, is it? It happens even if I "save" beforehand. Also, can I change the character password without having to quit the game?

Okay, I seem to have figured it. You just rent if you want the position to be kept as well. Awkward, gotta say.

Awkward... maybe... but the help for rent is pretty straightforward:
Quote:
There is no longer a rent system in the Worlds of Carnage; however, you
can still "rent" out at an inn. Renting just means your items are stored
someplace safe until you return. The offer command will let you know how much
your items are worth and both commands will let you know when you have
exceeded your maximum storage capacity.
