Merton was found abandoned in the elven forests as a small child. Unusually he was taken in by the elven community and brought up in their way of life. Merton was bright as a youngster and learnt quickly from his elven tutors the arts of offensive magicks. However as he matured Merton realised there was more to life than tree dwelling and studying magic. He left the elven habitats and moved to the city where he quickly realised that being skilled with weapons is equally as important as being a great spell caster.

Merton is now an effective fighter both with and without weapons and should he get into serious trouble has plenty of spells available to turn a battle. Over time it seems that the city is corrupting the peaceful ways of the elves and this young warrior is now set upon following the darker paths in life.
